Do you have same day adoptions? Yes! As long as you meet our few requirements (which are on the Application tab)
Do we adopt out of state? Yes we do! We abide by CT state law only and are allowed to adopt to any state as long as the adoption takes place at Save All Dogs.
Do we hold animals ? We do NOT as we are a rescue and all adoptions must meet our requirements and a meet and greet before we 💯 approve anyone.
What animals are available for adoption? Please check the available rescue tab. (It is updated each night) For a specific animal and any health questions please email or text us.(every animal has their own immune system that we cannot control - please be patient as they may not come to us 100% healthy) We do still offer foster to adopt for animals needing antibiotics as long as the adopter/foster is comfortable giving medication.
What are your adoption fees? $150-$850 (no tax) We are a 501c3 non profit and are not state funded. We pay for everything out of pocket and the fees help reimburse us for our transport, rent for our building, dog food, Vet bills such as weekly hours of vet checks, vaccines, dewormings, microchips, parvo testing, antibiotics, flea meds, ear cleaner ETC, it also helps with treats, collars / harness and leashes and supplies such as rescue cleaner to sanitize our runs, mops, brooms ETC. (all out of pocket)
Do you have any guarantee? No. We cannot guarantee age, breed, temperament or health in any animal we adopt. We pull animals from horrible conditions, have them checked by our Vet , Vaccinate, Deworm, Parvo test and Chip, find them the best homes we can so they are safe and not in danger of euthanasia.
Are the animals fixed / HW - ? If old enough MOST of the animals ARE fixed. If too young it is the adopters responsibility but, we do offer a discount at our vets 3 offices which we will hand out at time of adoption. We suggest making an appointment for Spay/Neuter ASAP as there can be quite a wait at most offices. We DO require conformation once your pup is fixed. HW test are done after a pup is 6 months old. As a puppy please treat your animals with flea and tick and check with your Vet about testing. Older dogs are tested and show negative before coming to us.
Do you have volunteer hours? Yes we do! Thursday nights from 4-7pm (most weeks) come on in and ask for Samantha! she will show you the ropes and introduce you to all the animals, as you help us walk, feed and cuddle! Please bring your ID as you will need to sign a volunteer waiver before volunteering. (OVER 18 ONLY) - Please send a text as some Thursdays we may not be accepting volunteers due to newly transported adults needing to decompress - 860-706-9859
Where do your dogs come from? most of the dogs, cats and puppies come from various kill shelters / puppy mills down south who we pull before euthanasia and give them a second chance at life. (All come from bad & unsafe conditions) WE DO NOT PAY FOR ANY OF OUR ANIMALS & WE DO NOT SUPPORT PUPPY MILLS - We simply take the animals who are in need or thrown aside due to age, medical issues or being mistreated. The animals that come from the kill shelters will be euthanized mainly due to space if we do not help. We also support local animals in danger of euthanasia.
Are the animals safe once with you? Yes! once animals are with us they are 100% safe! We do NOT euthanize and we DO provide vet care for as long as the animal is with us.
What do I do If I adopt and notice an illness within a few days to a week? Please contact us immediately if you notice your rescue is not eating, coughing or feeling ill. We can have the animal looked at and fostered till he/she is well at no cost to you! (We do not cover vet bills as we are a non profit and do not have the funds to do so) If you choose not to contact us this is your choice and please be aware you will be responsible for any vet costs as per the contract you signed before adopting. If you are foster to adopt you must bring us the animal immediately if you notice or are concerned about any illness. TEXT US @ 860-706-9859 RIGHT AWAY.
